Some seasons you choose. Some just arrive.
Online counselling for adults across Adelaide and South Australia. For the stretch you're in right now — whether you can name it or not.
You don't need to have it worked out before we talk. You don't need the right words, a diagnosis, or a tidy explanation of what's wrong. Sometimes counselling is just having somewhere to put everything down for an hour and work out what comes next.
Or send me a message first — I usually reply within a day.
Free for new clients. No obligation. Evening and Sunday afternoon sessions available.
You can't argue a season into changing.
You can change how you move through it.
Some of what you're carrying is genuinely outside your control. A workplace that's become difficult. An illness. A grief. A person who isn't going to change.
Counselling here isn't about pretending the weather is fine, or talking you into being grateful for the storm. It's about working out what's actually yours to move, what isn't, and how to get through this stretch without it costing you more than it has to.
Some seasons need weathering. Some need a decision. Part of the work is knowing which one you're in.
What’s it like?
It's a conversation, not an assessment.
I'm not going to sit across from you as the expert who's already worked out what your life needs.
We'll look at what's been happening, understand some of the patterns underneath it, and build strategies that fit your actual circumstances; your workload, your energy, your relationships, and the things you can't simply remove from your life.
I draw on cognitive, behavioural and emotion focused approaches. In practice that means two things: we pay attention to how your thoughts, feelings and actions pull on each other, because that's usually where change becomes possible. And we spend time on what's already working, not only on what's difficult.
Some sessions are practical and you'll leave with something specific to try. Others are just thinking out loud with someone who isn't involved. Both count.
The kinds of things people bring
Stress, anxiety and overwhelm
Burnout and emotional exhaustion
Pressure at work, or a workplace that's become hard to be in
Relationship difficulties
Big decisions and life transitions
Feeling stuck, or unsure what you want next
Changes in identity, direction or confidence
Emotions that are hard to make sense of
Recovering after a difficult stretch
You don't need to find your situation on that list. If something has been sitting with you, that's reason enough to talk about it.
Hi, I'm Jordan.
My background is in education. Teaching taught me a lot about what people carry quietly — the constant decision-making, the responsibility for other people's wellbeing, the expectations arriving from several directions at once, and the work that doesn't stop when you leave the building.
It also showed me how often people keep going long past the point where something needed to change. Not because they don't care, but because they care a great deal and can't see how to step back without letting someone down.
That's the conversation I'm most interested in having.
Some seasons of life feel heavier than others, and it's not always obvious what would help.
If you'd like to talk about whether counselling might be useful, you're welcome to send me a message. I'll usually reply within 1 day. You're also welcome to book a session directly if you'd rather get started face-to-face.
